Introduction

The SPIC Guizhou Jinyuan Zhijin Power Station Project (2×660 MW) marked a significant milestone on March 20, 2025, with the successful ignition of its boilers. This pioneering initiative saw the replacement of traditional fuel oil with cleaner liquefied natural gas (LNG) for ignition purposes, a first in the utilization of clean energy in 660 MW ultra-supercritical “W”-flame boilers. ZOZEN Boiler, a crucial equipment supplier for the project, provided customized high-efficiency and intelligent SZS series 35 t/h gas-fired superheated steam boilers, ensuring a smooth and successful project implementation.

The adoption of ZOZEN Boiler‘s SZS series gas-fired boilers, fueled by LNG, has led to a substantial reduction in pollutant emissions when compared to conventional oil-fired models. This eco-friendly approach has resulted in a remarkable 53% decrease in CO₂ emissions and over 90% reductions in NOx and SOx emissions under similar fuel consumption levels. These environmental benefits align perfectly with national environmental regulations and the pursuit of low-carbon development objectives.

The utilization of LNG not only drives improved environmental performance but also enhances operational cost-effectiveness. By leveraging the high combustion efficiency and economic advantages of LNG, the client now enjoys annual savings exceeding RMB 6 million in fuel procurement costs, significantly bolstering the project’s financial viability and overall economic returns.
